RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday paid visit to Corps headquarters Bahawalpur where he met military officials and soldiers to praise their professional and sacrificial efforts in fight against terrorism in Pakistan.
General Raheel Sharif aimed that no a single challenge was insurmountable to take Pakistan forward.
He said that Pakistan is returning to its stability mode followed by ongoing military operations and establishment of peaceful environment is the ‘top priority’ of the military.
Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Saleem Bajwa quoted COAS on social micro-blogging website Twitter on Tuesday.
General Raheel was addressing army officers in Bahawalpur to pay his tribute to their resilience, professionalism and sacrifices in their ongoing operation against terrorism.
COAS said that focus cannot be taken away from targeting terrorism in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and breaking militant links in rest of the country.
The top military official said that ‘no challenge is insurmountable’ to ‘let’s take Pak forward’ and ‘our greatest asset ,youth, must be encouraged and honed.’
