RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday visited the residence of late Additional Session Judge Tahir Khan Niazi for extending condolence with the bereaved family.
The Minister offered fateha for the departed soul and expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family. He assured the bereaved family that every effort would be made to arrest the culprits and to bring them to justice.
CPO Rawalpindi on the occasion briefed the Interior Minister about the progress made so far into the case. The Minister directed Rawalpindi police to further gear up their efforts and said that they will have full support of the federal government organizations in this regard.
Unknown men killed Additional District and Sessions judge Tahir Khan Niazi in Sadiqabad Town area on Wednesday.
Three unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on the vehicle of the judge as he was leaving his Judges Colony residence in Sadiqabad area of Rawalpindi.
Later, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan on Thursday claimed responsibility for killing the honorable judge.
