ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has paid tributes to all security agencies for peaceful Ashura day, while he also thanked for support by Shiite and other school of thoughts.
In a statement released from Islamabad, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said that Pakistan Army, Rangers, FC and police of all provinces provided best security on Ashura day, adding that Pakistan remained peaceful despite serious threats of terrorism, on which he thanked security agencies as well as Shiite and other schools of thought for their support and cooperation.
Interior Minister expressed the hope that security agencies and police will continue to perform their professional responsibilities with same zeal and fervor in future during Moharram.
Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has also lauded the police and other law enforcement agencies for exemplary security arrangements that led to the peacefukl passage of Ashura.
