NEW DELHI: At least nine Kabaddi players were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Indian state Odisha.
According to Indian media reports, the accident happened when the vehicle carrying the players were lost control and fell down from a bridge. Seven of the players had died on the sport, while two others succumbed to injuries in a local hospital.
The Odisha government has announced a compensation of Indian Rs0.1m each to the family of those killed and free medical treatment for the injured.
