LAHORE: A total number of eight thousand dengue larvae were recovered from different areas of Punjab province this month while nine cases were reported in the province.
The larvae were reported to be recovered from Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan and other districts of the province with 4187 recovering only from Lahore.
Punjab Health Ministry maintained that the all efforts are being carried out at to eliminate the larvae while Lahore’s Samanabad, Ravi, Data Gunj Bakhsh, Wagah and Nishter Town are declared high risk areas.
Amongst the nine people affected from the virus, two people belong to Sheikhupura while one belongs to Faisalabad.
