New Zealand have beaten Pakistan by 70 runs in first One Day International (ODI) of three-match series played at Willington.
Pakistan chasing 281 were all-out on 210 runs. However, Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez got the score board ticking but failed to help their team to grab victory.
Azam scored 62 runs while Hafeez made 42 runs. Sarfraz Ahmed played a little cameo of 30 runs as well.
Trent Bolt was the stand out bowler for the home side as he grabbed four wickets while Grant Elliott managed to get three wickets for the hosts.
Earlier, Pakistan win toss and invited New Zealand to bat. The home side after losing six wickets under 100 runs made a strong comeback posting 280 runs on the board.
Henry Nicholls played an outstanding knock of 82 runs while Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry played vital knocks of 48 runs each to post the huge total.
