ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on the first Muharram urged the nation for unity and to play a positive role for progress and prosperity of the country.
In their separate messages on the advent of new Islamic calendar year, they asked the nation to follow the spirit of brotherhood and tolerance by shunning all the differences.
President said new Hijri year reminded us of the migration of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) when He and His companions migrated from Makkah Mukarramah to Madina Munawwara, and laid a great foundation of brotherhood between the natives and immigrants, which proved the basis of Muslims strength and rise.
