WASHINGTON: Social media site Facebook has finally introduced the Facebook Lite for slow super slow connections.
The site was testing its new Facebook Lite for last six months and now finally launched the Lite version for very slow connections.
In January, his team began testing the app in Africa and Southeast Asia.
Shankar says people responded to it immediately. “App reviews suggest people want it in their countries,” he says, referencing the Google Play app store, where Facebook Lite has more than four stars and 50,000 reviews.
The announcement came just after search engine giant said that it will continue Android One programe which makes low-cost phones with Google design.
