Apple has introduced a new app Siri that could control internet-connected home appliances. The new app could be an important step forward for the emerging industry of internet-connected homes where all appliances even door locks contains computer chips that communicate wirelessly.
While Apple wants Siri to play a leading role in “smart” homes. Its rivals Google, Microsoft and Samsung were also planning to introduce new apps for internet connected homes.
