Nepal wants to enhance bilateral trade: Ambassador

RAWALPINDI: Nepal wants to enhance trade relations with Pakistan and appreciated the role of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) for promoting bilateral trade relations and organizing Made in Pakistan Expo for the last seven years.

The Ambassador Sewa Lamsal Adhikari said during her visit to Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry  here Monday.

She urged business community of both countries to boost volume of trade between the two countries.

She said Pakistan and Nepal has strong relations due to Gandhara civilization.

The envoy said we want to boost trade relations especially in the field of tourism, hydro power and agriculture.

She assured full support and cooperation for boosting bilateral trade and called for frequent exchange of trade delegations.

Nepal offers lucrative incentives for investors in terms of banking, custom tariff and fees and labour laws.

She said the people of Nepal are thankful to Pakistan government for sending rescue and medical teams during the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

RCCI President Raja Amer Iqbal in his welcome address said importance of regional trade has increased due to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor as it offers huge opportunities to the regional countries to be a part of the upcoming mega trade hub.
