KARACHI: Former prime minister and central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that Nawaz Sharif has been ousted from the government and the country by the powerful institutions of the country.
“Muftah Ismail’s victory in NA-249 is certain. We will not allow a situation like Daska to arise here,” Abbasi said while addressing a presser here on Wednesday.
He warned that if rigging is attempted, the results will not be good for Pakistan and Karachi.
Former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair, former federal minister Amir Muqam, Khawaja Tariq Nazir, Ali Akbar Gujjar and Nasiruddin Mahmood were also present on the occasion.
Abbasi said that PPP has not done any work in Sindh during the last 13 years but it has started its work as soon as the elections are approaching. Federal ministers and advisers also visited the constituency. Ehsas and ration cards were distributed in the constituency, the PML-N leader said.
He said that it was the responsibility of the provincial government to provide security. The Election Commission should allow the polling agent to have a mobile phone. An immediate complaint will be lodged through the polling agent’s mobile.
Abbasi said that Faisal Wada was elected from this constituency and became the water minister but could not bring water in the constituency. What should the ministers who could not bring water in their constituency do for the country?
He said that the questions raised by Bashir Memon should be answered.
