National women cricket team leave for India

All members of national women’s cricket team were departed to India en route Karachi-Dubai on Saturday morning for participation in T20 World Cup 2016.

The national team has missed both of their warm-up matches scheduled against New Zealand and South Africa before commencement of the international event.

However, skipper Sana Mir expressed hopes for exhibition of good performance in the event. She said the team is passionate for victory and to meet expectations of whole nation.

National women cricket team will play first match on March 16 against West Indies in Chennai; second match against India in New Delhi on March 19, third match on March 24 against Bangladesh and fourth match on March 27 against England in Chennai.

It should be mentioned here that it will be the final tournament for Sana Mir as skipper of the women’s team.
