National T20 super-eight tournament to start today in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: National T20 super-eight tournament will start from Monday (today ) in Iqbal Stadium of Faisalabad.

As many as eight teams around the country are taking  part in the short-format tournament. All leading players of the country are part of the eight participating teams.

Lahore Lions in captaincy of Kamran Akmal will defend its title. Rawalpindi Rams, Abbotabad Falcons, Peshawar Panthers and Sialkot Stallions will be the teams of Group A while Faisalabad Dolphins, Multan Tigers, Karachi Dolphins and Lahore Lions are included in Group B.

Muhammad Amir who was relieved of ban in domestic cricket by International Cricket Council (ICC) over match fixing is also taking part in the tournament. He is part of Rawalpindi Rams.
