ISLAMABAD: A National Security Committee (NSC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday urged the US to withdrsw its recent decision on Al-Quds.
The meeting, attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, National Security Adviser Lieutenant General (retired) Nasser Janjua and others, said the Trump’s Al-Quds move had caused concern among the Muslim Ummah.
Strongly condeming the Quetta church attack, the participants of the meeting said that the terrororist attacks were against the teachings of Islam.
On the occasion, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua briefed the meeting on the recent emergency OIC meeting held in Istanbul while the interior secretary briefed on the national action commitee.
The meeting called upon the US administration to take steps for the just solution of the issue.
The participants of the meeting were of the view that more focus was required on departmental and policy reforms.
The NSC directed to finalise the national security policy in consultation with all the steke holders.
