LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said the national economy was destroyed by corruption, as well as waving off hefty loans of politicians, Dubai and Panama leaks. He said disappointment will spread among nationals if the Supreme Court (SC) failed to provide verdict despite provision of evidences. He said the apex court could declare current and previous rulers ineligible.
Liaqat Baloch said the Supreme Court (SC) should have to make commission on basis of concrete Terms of References (ToRs) to hold investigation into Panama and Dubai leaks for closing all doors of corruption.
Liaqat Baloch expressed these views while addressing a public breakfast event organised by group leader PP-154, Ehsanullah Waqas, on Sunday. The event was also addressed by JI Lahore leader Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, Syed Ehsanullah Waqas and JI Lahore South Khalid Butt while JI Naib Ameer Malik Shahid Aslam, Waseem Qureshi, Chaudhry Mehmoodul Ahad, Abdul Aziz Abid, Amir Nisar were also present.
Baloch said Pakistan and Muslim Ummah was facing numerous challenges but the biggest challenge was to secure its ideological side. He said the new US President Donald Trump gave message to the world for eliminating radical Islam. He added Islam is truly a religious of peace while U.S. rulers attempted to jumble extremism, terrorism and Islam. Liaqat Baloch said Daish [Islamic State] and such terror organisations were formed by West and the United States (U.S.) in order to hold bloodshed of Muslims around the world. He added it is an unfortunate moment as whole Muslim Ummah failed to make unity. The JI Secretary General said Pakistan is possessing significant importance in whole Muslim Ummah besides having geographical importance in the region, however, there is a need to remain aware of our position. He said democracy is the strong base of Pakistan but not the martial law. He criticised current rulers for closing eyes over disasters occurred in economy, education, health, employment, law and order sectors. He said nationals will have to select Islamic system if they wanted long term resolve of their issues. Liaqat Baloch said Jamaat-e-Islami has an honest and credible leadership that continued struggle for a corruption-free Pakistan. Liaqat Baloch said the political party will establish Islamic governance system based on justice if nationals provided support to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
