ISLAMABAD: Ameer , Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, said that those trying to depend upon forged documents to escape accountability would be disgraced and the plunderers both in the government and the opposition would ultimately have to face accountability.
Talking to the newly elected district heads of the JI here on Wednesday, he said the nation wanted ruthless accountability of the plunderers and its eyes were presently on the Supreme Court. The masses wanted that all those looting public money be exposed and every penny of the unlawful wealth be recovered from them, he added. JI Punjab chief Mian Maqsood Ahmed, and General Secretary Bilal Qurdat Butt, were also present.
On the occasion, Sirajul Haq disapproved the {PTI decision to stick to boycott of the joint session of the Parliament in honour of the Turkish President and said it would have been much better if the PTI were present in the house on this occasion.
Sirajul Haq said that apart from the present rulers, the era of Pervez Musharraf and Zardari must also be audited. He said that those who had burdened the country under the 73 billion loans and enslaving the nation to the IMF and the World Bank, did not deserve any leniency and should face the law.
He said the rulers were still trying to befool the nation and spreading despondency among them by giving the impression that nothing would come out of the Panama Leaks. However, he said, he was sure that those who had plunged the masses into the mire of innumerable problems and snatched their pleasures would not get any respite.
