Karachi: Nation celebrates the 73rd Independece Day with traditional enthusiasm and fervour across the country today.
The change of guard ceremonies were held at the Mazaar-e-Quaid in Karachi and Mazaar-e-Iqbal in Lahore.
Flag hoisting ceremonies and special programmes in connection with the Independence Day are being held across the country.
The day dawned with 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salute in privincial capitals.
Special prayers were offered after Fajr prayers at mosques for the prosperity, progress and solidarity of the country.
