WASHINGTON: National Aeronautics and Space Administration on Tuesday has announced a writing competition on “journey to Mars challenge” to seek public input on establishing sustained human presence on the red planet Mars.

NASA invited people to write down their ideas in detail that what do you need to bring, and how do you minimize the need for delivery of future supplies in order to establish a sustained human presence on a planet, 140 million miles away from Earth.

This could include shelter, food, water, breathable air, communication, exercise, social interactions and medicine. People are invited to write innovative and creative elements beyond these examples.

NASA would give three awards of about 5000 dollars each to the top three innovative writers.
