NADRA submits forensic report of NA-122 in election tribunal

LAHORE: Much awaited forensic report of NA-122 has been submitted by National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) to the election tribunal during the hearing of alleged rigging case.

The election tribunal, Judge Kazim Ali, continued the hearing on Saturday.

The forensic report submitted by NADRA was opened in front of the judge and lawyers of the parties.

Speaking to media, counsel of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that according to the report of NADRA, more than 136,000  one lakh and thirty six thousands votes have not been verified while 1715 fingerprints were not present on counter files.

“Verification of 6,123 national identity cards also failed while 570 casted votes were not registered in the constituency,” PTI council said.

The election tribunal has summoned DG NADRA on May 16.

On the other hand, Ali Sadiq, son of Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq who won the NA-122 seat, said that all the votes have been verified in the NADRA report.

“The forensic report of NADRA comprises of 781 pages and no unverified vote was found during the verification process,” Ali Sadiq claimed.
