NAB says even non-taxpayer Pakistanis going abroad with hundreds of thousands of dollars

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Islamabad, has raided an office of the Punjab Food Department.

Sources said that the NAB had recovered the record of sugar export and took it over. A joint investigation team of the anti-graft watchdog is probing into the matter.

NAB had sought several times the three-year record from the food department while it had also summoned the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association Chairman Sikandar M Khan, who had submitted the required record to the bureau last month.

It may be mentioned here that NAB had been investigating into the subsidy worth billions of rupees given in sugar export.
