SUKKUR: A 10-day remand of Syed Khursheed Shah, the senior PPP leader has been granted to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) here on Saturday.
An accountability court in Sukkur has granted the remand in the assets beyond means of income case.
Earlier, Khursheed Shah had appeared before the court today after his arrest from his Islamabad residence on Wednesday.
On Thursday, accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir had granted two-day transit remand of senior PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah to the anti-graft watchdog.
A NAB team comprising officials from Rawalpindi and Sukkur bureaus arrested the PPP leader from his Islamabad residence on charges of holding assets beyond known sources of income.
While presenting Shah before the accountability judge, the NAB team prayed him to grant a week-long transit remand. However, the judge approved only a two-day remand.
After getting the remand, the NAB team took the PPP leader to Sukkur and presenet before the local bureau.
