ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has obtained a 13-day physical remand of former planning minister Ahsan Iqbal in connection with the Narowal Sports City corruption case here on Tuesday.

The former federal minister of PML-N was arrested on Monday from the NAB’s Rawalpindi office.

The inquiry against the Iqbal was started in the Narowal Sports City corruption case by NAB in July 2018.

Earlier on Monday, the Islamabad High Court had accepted the bail plea of PML-N leader Miftah Ismail in the LNG case.

The court ordered the PML-L leader to submit surety bonds worth Rs10 million.
