ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi have greeted the newly elected office bearers of National Press Club (NPC) for their success in the recent held election of the journalist body.
In their separate messages to the newly elected President of NPC Mr Shakeel Anjum, Secretary General, Mr. Imran Yaqoob Dhiloon, Senior Vice President Mr. Naveed Akbar, Vice Presidents Mr. Asif Bhatti, Mr. Ibrahim Qambar and Ms. Nazia Toheed, Finance Secretary, Mr. Ishaq Ch., Senior Joint Secretary Mr. Iqbal Malik, Joint Secretaries, Mr. Mohsin Ijaz, Mr. Amanullah Khan, Ms. Shakila Jalil and members governing body, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker extended their warmest felicitation on their success. They said that their election was an evidence of trust and confidence of journalist fraternity reposed in them.
They expressed their hope that the elected body of NPC will work for welfare of journalist community and freedom of press. The Speaker and Deputy Speaker said that freedom of expression was essential for strengthening democracy in the country. They hoped that under the new leadership the problems of journalist’s community would be resolved and prayed for their success during their tenure.
