KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies including Rangers and police reacted rapidly after violent clashes sparked between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activists after polling time ended up in NA-246 by-election.
Various outrageous persons were taken into custody by police personnel while a policeman sustained injuries due to stones pelted by the protestors in Karimabad.
Peace situation turned intense when MQM activists attacked PTI election camp by stoning and torching PTI flag that added fuel to the fire in Karimabad.
Outrageous crowd continued stoning on PTI workers while cameraman of a private news channel also sustained injuries despite presence of heavy contingents of police and Rangers rushed on the location to bring deteriorated peace situation under control.
Various protestors were arrested by law enforcers over spreading violence after using water canon and charging baton charge to control violence.
