KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi on Thursday provides rigging evidences to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and expressed sever concerns over poll rigging, witnessed in different polling stations at NA-246. JI demanded CEC to take prompt action over rigging evidences.
JI wrote a letter to CEC Sardar Raza Khan and said that MQM activists, having ECP cards, were pressurized Presiding Officers at polling stations no 179, 194, 195 and 197 of Riaz Girls College, Liaquatabad and casted fake votes.
JI informed CEC that Presiding Officers avoided checking women’s CNIC over MQM’s pressure at polling stations no 112, 113, 114, 119 , 120,122,124, and 125, of Campri School. Hundreds of fake votes were casted there. JI said that MQM violated rules of secret balloting and compelled people to show their ballot papers on the above mentioned polling stations.
MQM activist conducted poll rigging at Agha Khan School, FB Area and KDA School and Siraj-ud-Dollah College.
JI leadership demanded the Chief Election Commissioner to take notice over rigging evidences, witnessed during the elections.
They said that MMQ rigged the by-polls at Salman Ibrahim School , Comprehensive School and Ideal School.
JI said that dry inkpads were used at several polling stations, so that fake thumb impressions could not be detected. They alleged that polling process started late at some polling stations.
