NA-19 by-election, contest of two ideologies: Imran Khan

HARIPUR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan levelled serious allegations on the federal and Punjab government, said that the upcoming by-election in NA-19 constituency would become a contest of two separate ideologies.

Imran Khan was addressing participants of public gathering organised by PTI Haripur chapter during election campaign of NA-19 constituency here on Monday.

Imran Khan once again announced to raise strong voice in the parliament against atrocities made with children in Kasur district of Punjab province. He said that Reham Khan will visit Kasur today to meet victimised families. He alleged that parents of the victims were being blackmailed for forced compromise over the case. He praised Pakistani media houses to expose Kasur child abuse scandal.

PTI chairman alleged that PML-N is ruling Punjab province for the sixth time and it destroyed police institution in the province by turning it into a police state. He claimed that police officials are providing election tickets for Local Bodies polls in Punjab. He added that the then Inspector General Punjab had reported in a local court regarding recruitments in the institution in 1992 was made on political recommendations.

He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police is the most impartial security department across Pakistan. He added that lowest level of corruption recorded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. He claimed that PTI is transferring power to the grass root level in KP. The accountability commission made strict action against a provincial ministry in KP, he added. He questioned whether any action was made against Nawaz Sharif or Asif Zardari by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
