Myanmar’s junta has granted four-year imprisonment to Aung San Suu Kyi for incitement against the military and violating the Covid rules.
A government spokesman said that the penalty is first of a series of possible punishments, which could see Aung San Suu Kyi imprisoned for decades.

The 76-year-old Nobel laureate has been detained since the military ousted her government earlier this year on February 1.
Aung San Suu Kyi is facing a series of charges, including corruption and electoral fraud, violating the official secrets act.
Experts claimed that the Nobel laureate may face decades in jail if convicted on all charges.
