KARACHI: Sindh government on Friday removed Ghulam Qadir Thebo as Karachi police chief handing over the charge to Mushtaq Mahar.
Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Director General (DG) Manzoor Qadir Kaka has also been relieved from his post. Moreover, SBCA senior official Shahzar Shamon and Administrator Saqib Soomro have also been relieved as both have fled the country.
The removals from the Sindh bureaucracy come in the wake of PPP leaders meeting in Dubai on Thursday and directing provincial ministers to crack down on corruption.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Qadir Thebo has been appointed as Chairman Anti-Corruption
According to sources, the Sindh government is taking action against those individuals who are being investigated by NAB for corruption.
