ISLAMABAD: A special court here on Thursday issued the detailed judgement in the high treason case against former military dictator retired Gen Pervez Musharraf.
The special court had earlier tried the former president in absentia and awarded the capital sentence.
Last week, the special court hearing the high treason case on Tuesday awarded death sentence to former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf for suspending the Constitution on Nov 3, 2007.
A three-member bench comprising Lahore High Court’s Justice Shahid Karim, Peshawar High Court’s Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth and Sindh High Court’s Justice Nazar Akbar issued the verdict that was split 2-1 in the high treason case here.
