KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Syed Murad Ali Shah was re-elected chief minister of Sindh on Thursday.
He defeated the joint opposition’s nominee Shahryar Mahar to claim the slot, securing 97 votes as opposed to Mahar’s 61 votes.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly earlier today elected Mehmood Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as the provincial chief minister. He defeated Mian Nisar Gul of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, securing 77 votes as opposed to his rival’s 33 votes.
