Multan becomes sixth PSL team

LAHORE: Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) sixth team was announced on Thursday as Schon Group purchased Multan franchise for PSL 2017.

As per details, the sixth team have been bought by Schon Group for a price of $5.2 million per year.

PSL announced the news in a tweet on Thursday.

The first two edition of the PSL saw five teams competing with each other for the winner’s trophies.

Islamabad United, under the leadership of former Pakistan Test captain Misbahul Haq, won the first edition.

In PSL2, the final of which was organised in Lahore, Peshawar Zalmi under Darren Sammy’s captaincy beat Sarfraz Ahmed’s Quetta Gladiators to be crowned champions.

With the addition of the sixth team, the tournament is all set to grow with the number of matches being increased as well.
