Muhammad Yousuf resigns as National Selection Committee member

Former Pakistan cricketer and captain Mohammad Yousuf has resigned as member of national team’s selection committee.

Muhammad Yousuf said on the social networking site that he resigned from the Pakistan team’s selection committee based on personal reasons.

Yusuf further wrote that he contributed to the success of the Pakistan team. I have full faith in the passion and talent of the players and I wish the national team more success, he added.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Mohammad Yousuf has voluntarily resigned from his role as a member of the selection committee, but he wants to focus on other important responsibilities.

The PCB has expressed its sincere gratitude to Muhammad Yousuf for his commitment during his tenure as a member of the Selection Committee and said that the former captain will continue to play a vital role at the PCB’s High Performance Centre.

Yousuf was the head coach of the Pakistan U-19 team that secured the third position in the ICC U-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 in South Africa.
