MQM’s Rabita Committee demands Govt to provide adequate security to Farooq Sattar

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Rabita Committee on Thursday demanded government to provide adequate security to its leader Farooq Sattar while expressing serious concern over the security of Dr Farooq Sattar.

 The MQM has stated that according to reliable sources, Farooq Sattar faces life threats from terrorist organisations, particularly terrorists’ involved in the Lyari gang war. According to the MQM plans are being made to attack Farooq Sattar.

 The MQM has informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, CM Sindh, DG Rangers, IGP Sindh and other officials of threats faced by Farooq Sattar.

 The MQM in its request demanded adequate security at Farooq Sattar’s residence and declared existing security deployed unsatisfactory.
