KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Amir Khan was released from Karachi Central Jail on Tuesday following court orders.
A local court accepted Amir Khan’s bail petition yesterday against a surety bond of 1 million rupees.
It is reported that FIR against Amir Khan and other MQM leader includes anti-terrorism clauses and accuses them of sheltering target killers, criminals.
Amir Khan was taken into custody from MQM headquarters Nine Zero on March 11 during a Rangers raid. A number of MQM workers and activists were arrested during the raid, some of them were convicted of murders, extortion and other crimes.
