MQM workers confesses to setting Baldia Factory fire

KARACHI: An under custody worker of  the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has confessed to setting the Ali Enterprise (Baldi town factory) on fire in 2012, on the orders of a senior MQM leader.

Zubair alias Charcha confessed his involvement in the Baldia Factory Fire. He said that he had set the factory on fire along with Rehman alias Bhola.

He said they had asked for Rs10 million as extortion money from the owners.

The MQM worker said that he had followed orders of MQM tanzeemi committee in-charge Hammad Siddiqui.

The fire killed over 250 workers.
