MQM starts rigging in NA-246: JI spokesman

KARACHI: Jamaat Islami (JI) spokesman on Thursday after two hours of start of the polling on NA-246 by-election alleged that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has started rigging in the constituency.

The JI spokesman said that the MQM workers have entered in polling station established in  Riyaz girls college in disguise of Election Commission official as they are posing that they have Election Commission cards.

The JI  alleged that these MQM workers are stopping the JI polling agents to enter into the polling station.

The spokesman also said that presiding officers deputed at Comprehensive School are not checking identity cards of women for casting of the votes.

It is pertinent to mention here that the ECP has made mandatory to identify voters through original ID card.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Arif Alvi also alleged that the MQM started severe rigging in the by-election.
