Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee claimed that Waseem Dehlvi was arrested by police on Tuesday midnight and tortured to death under custody. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that 190 MQM workers have been murdered but responsible of the assassinations have not been arrested.
MQM RC conducted a press conference in Karachi here on Wednesday (today) over suspicious death of MQM worker s Waseem Dehlvi allegedly by police torture at Aziz Bhatti police station. The committee claimed that Waseem was 40th activist who faced custodial death.
Siddiqui said that MQM is the first political party that demanded operation in Karachi but later it turned towards MQM. He alleged that Karachi operation has been put on political path as path operation.
The committee member alleged that several MQM activists taken into custody by different agencies while justice is not being provided to the political party and judiciary is seemed under pressure.
Kanwar Naveed Jameel appealed Prime Minister and Chief Minister Sindh to ensure implementation of law during Karachi Operation.
