The MQM-P while assuring its support to PML-N in government formation has also sought support on the three-point constitutional amendment in which the autonomy of local bodies is prominent.
A PML-N delegation has assured the MQM-P of its support in larger interest of masses on the said amendments.
According to the sources, the MQM-P has clearly said that governorship in Sindh is its right which, it will not give up.
The MQM-P has also said that the party has no desire to join the federal cabinet. The PML-N delegation said that they will not blackmail for government formation like any other party.
Earlier, Syed Mustafa Kamal, a Senior Deputy Convener had said that after the upcoming elections, we will support any government formed in the Centre based on a single-point agenda, considering all our past experiences.
Whoever comes to the MQM-P to become the PM or seek assistance will need to ensure the constitutional amendments proposed by the party.
