KARACHI: In quick response to the PPP offer, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar said on Monday that the MQM-P may consider the PPP offer to join the Sindh cabinet and quit the federal government.

The Karachi mayor expressed these views while speaking to the media here.

He said that his party in the past too had supported the PPP for the resolution of basic problems being faced by the metropolitan.

He added that the MQM-P may go with anyone in the larger interest of masses.

Earlier in the day, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had appealed to the MQM-P to quit alliance with the PTI, offering them ministries in the Sindh cabinet.

Speaking at a ceremony, Bilawal asked the MQM-P to dislodge the PTI-led government.
