Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Senior Deputy Convenor Mustafa Kamal has confirmed joining the federal cabinet.
Mustafa Kamal said that the joining the coalition government is not ideal. However, the talks with PML-N are going in the right direction. We want to take such a responsibility so that we can deliver to our people.
Speaking on a local TV show, he further said that there is no deadlock in the negotiations with the PML-N. The first stage is the oath-taking while the matter of the cabinet will come later.
In response to a question, the MQM leader said that he will not confirm about the demand of six ministries as the phase of ministries has not come yet, but we have decided that we will become part of the government and take ministries as well.
Mustafa Kamal said that the MQM will present the constitutional amendment draft and they want the PML-N to stand together.
He said that we are going to the government by accepting a challenge. No one from outside will come and fix the situation in the country. MQM is ready to take responsibilities to deliver, he added.
