ISLAMABAD: Lawmakers belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have decided to resign from both the houses of parliament along with the provincial assemblies.

Sources say that MQM parliamentarians and provincial legislators have submitted their resignations to their leader in the parliament Farooq Sattar, who will present the same to the Speaker.

Senators, MPAs and MNAs are reportedly resigning due to their alleged ‘witch hunting’ during the on going Karachi operation.
