KARACHI: Three former members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) joined the Pak Sarzameen Party of Mustafa Kama on Thursday.
Former MQM parliamentarian Shakir Ali, Naik Muhammad and Saleem Tajik joined PSP during a news conference.
Speaking at the news conference Kamal said that he has expanded PSP to Middle East and Britain. He said that he had also established offices in Chitral and Gilgit Baltistan.”We were told that we could not get out of Khayaban-e-Sehar.”
Replying to allegations that criminal elements of MQM were joining his party ranks he said, “I request Farooq Sattar to give me a list of their workers who have criminal records. I will refuse them a place in my party. I will paste their list outside my office.”
Defending his workers he said, “Has any PSP worker even thrown a stone at anyone? Peace in the city can not be established without our software.”
In a jibe at MQM Pakistan he said “A RAW agent will be called a RAW agent.”
“I saw the chief minister pleading MQM’s case in the Sindh Assembly. I felt like the sun was rising from the West,” he said.
He appealed to be given a chance to bring youth to the right path. “Exactly like you have given youth of FATA and Balochistan.”
Former MQM worker and city mayor Mustafa Kamal left the MQM to form his own party this year. Since then in a series of pressers he has announced the joining of important politicians many of who were former MQM leaders.
