MQM, JUI-F chief hopeful after negotiations

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leadership and Jamiat-e-Ulema-i-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman expressed hope regarding their talks over the mass resignations tendered by MQM lawmakers from Pakistan’s parliament and senate.

Talking to media after a short session interrupted by news of gun attack on MQM leader Rashid Godil, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that MQM has given a positive signal while in talks and he will take forward their demands to Islamabad.

Meanwhile, MQM’s senior leader Farooq Sattar while expressing fear that the attack on Rashid Godil is an attempt to sabotage the all important talks process, said that Fazl has convinced them to raise their concerns in the parliament.
