Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) decided to seek resignation of longest serving Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan after a joint consultation session between MQM co-ordination committees in London and Karachi on Monday (today).
MQM Rabita Committee conducted press conference in Karachi during presence of the coordination committee London members and formally demanded resignation of Governor Sindh and join back MQM.
Dr. Farooq Sattar said, ‘It is the matter of common knowledge that Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan was being considered as a well wisher of MQM even after his resignation from the political party after being appointed as Governor Sindh.’
Sattar said that Altaf Hussain himself has approved decision to appoint Ishrat as Governor Sindh. He complained that attitude of the governor has changed right now and he failed to stop atrocities against MQM workers and assassination of Muhajirs.
He said MQM has never given priority to the posts and seats over national interests and public issues. MQM leader said that Ishratul Ebad Khan has never played role in monitoring committee and the political party is willing to possess an exhibitory post.
Farooq Sattar specially mentioned that the statement does not comply with any of the criminal persons even affiliated with MQM and the political party is not showing sympathy to to criminal elements.
MQM leader alleged that targeted operation in the metropolis Karachi is being used to demolish political reputation of MQM and Muhajir areas were being surrounded during the targeted operation.
It should be mentioned that MQM supremo Altaf Hussain had announced dissociation with Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan over differences.
