Thick fog has forced the closure of some parts of the Motorways M1, M2 and M3.
Motorway Police said the visibility at Motorway M1 dropped to 20 meters whereas visibility range at Motorway M2 was recorded as 10 to 30 meters from Islamabad to Chakri Interchange.
The visibility at M2 from Bhera to Sheikhupura was 10 meters while zero visibility was recorded from Ravi Toll Plaza to Kalashakaku.
Motorway Police has suspended the traffic flow at Motorway M1, M2 and M3 and advised the citizens to travel via GT Road.
This fog also engulfed twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
It also affected flights schedule at Benazir International Islamabad Airport.
Drivers have been asked to exercise extra care while driving.
