As Motorola is all set to debut its flagship smartphone next week, the new screenshot showing a slate of new Droid phones has leaked ahead unveiling.
Perennial Twitter leaker Evan Blass sent out the image this afternoon showing three different front and back options for the Droid Turbo 2 and two additional configurations for the Droid Maxx 2. More details on both devices are expected on October 27th.
The Turbo 2 is confirmed to come with a rather unique feature: a “shatterproof” screen. It’s certainly a strong selling point for a smartphone, and yet we don’t know exactly how Motorola managed to design such a display and whether it will hold up to serial concrete drops.
Verizon went so far as to advertise the feature in a video posted to its Twitter account earlier this week, calling the Turbo 2 “the perfect phone for imperfect people,” and again today in a short 14-second teaser.
Even though there’s just three colors up in the leaked screenshot, you’ll be able to customize the Turbo 2 through Motorola’s Moto Maker program.
You’ll also get one “refresh” of the device — to change its color and switch out the back plate for another — throughout its lifetime if you buy the 64GB model.
