Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that mosques would not be closed, however, the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) need to be implemented.

The prime minister stated this during a meeting with Religious Minister Noorul Haq Qadri here on Friday.

He directed the Ministry of Religious Affairs to be in touch with the ulema and the NCOC with regard to the coronavirus pandemic.

Imran asked the ministry to share the data on the spread of Covid-19 with the ulema so that they during their sermons advise people to follow SOPs.
