Moon not sighted in Pakistan, Ramadan fasting to start on Friday

Ramadan 2015 moon has not been sighted across the country and and first fasting of the Holy Ramadan will be observed on Friday – June 19, 2015.

Ruet-e-Hilal (moon sighting) Committee of Pakistan scheduled its meeting on Wednesday (today) under chair of chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman in Karachi.

The committee witnessed and collected evidences of crescent along with various clerics and Met experts across the country.

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman made the formal announcement at 9:15pm in Karachi that crescent has not been sighting here in Karachi and across any part of the Pakistan.

The announcement was made after collecting evidences by zonal committees across the provinces of Pakistan. Earlier, Zonal committee of Islamabad had reported the central committee that no evidences were found regarding moon sighted in the federal capital after Maghrib prayers. Zonal committee in Lahore also reported for finding no evidence of crescent sighting across the province.
