Chairman Reut-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, announced that crescent was not sighted across Pakistan, hence, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on Wednesday September 25, 2015.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman headed session of central moon sighting committee in Karachi. The session was attended by Met officials, astronomers, Maulana Zameer Sajid, Ahmed Hasan Chishti, Maulana Abdul Aziz Hanif, Ziaullah Khan, Maulana Muhammad Ashfaq and Allama Sajjad Hussain Naqvi.
Moreover, provincial and zonal committees also held their sessions in Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta to collect evidences of crescent of Eid-ul-Azha 2015.
The announcement was made following confirmation of all committees for not sighting moon across the country. Eid-ul-Azha will now be celebrated on Wednesday September 25, 2015 across Pakistan.
