Tainted pacer Mohammad Amir has been granted visa by Immigration New Zealand (INZ), paving the way for the convicted Pakistani spot-fixer to make his return to international cricket against the Black Caps later this month.

The 23-year old pacer was included in the Pakistan squad for three Twenty20s and three one-day internationals starting January 15, but required clearance from INZ after serving three months in jail for his role in the 2010 corruption scandal in England.

INZ Area Manager Michael Carley said: “Immigration New Zealand can confirm that a visitor visa has been approved for Mohammad Amir to travel as part of the Pakistan Cricket Team set to tour New Zealand this month.
